What We Liked About Couvre
Couvre is made by the same company that makes Toppik fibers and both products are of extremely high standard.
• Courve is specially formulated with a mix of ingredients to completely cover a bald spot. The application process is also quite simple. Each tube is provided with a large sponge applicator.
• Users recommend wetting the applicator and then rubbing the cream onto the bald spot. You can do this yourself or you can ask another person to rub the cream on. It’s not necessary to part your hair as the color is absorbed by hair strands as well. A small pea shaped drop of the cream is enough to tint a three cm bald spot on the scalp and it dries almost instantly.
• This cream automatically tints the scalp along with surrounding hair strands so it is practically invisible. Generally, the company recommends that you use the product after drying your scalp or after taking a bath.
• The tint does not come off with sweating or while brushing hair and it’s remarkably stable for three to four days.
• Consumers have stated that the cream is not greasy but very light and wonderfully waterproof at the same time.
• Alcohol present in styling gels and hairsprays will not dissolve the tint and you can use normal styling products quite easily on the tinted bald patch.
• You can combine the scalp tint with hair fibers like Toppik. Both products are made by the same company and they work well together. The tint will shade the bald spot while the Toppik fiber will make the hair appear thicker and healthier.
• It’s a very good product particularly because it does not run in hot weather or tint clothes. The product has been formulated to come off when you rinse with a shampoo or soap and it does remain stable for three to four days.
What We Did Not Like About Couvre
• Couvre is temporary and a few consumers may not like using the tint on their scalp.
• A few consumer- based couvre reviews have stated that the company just makes eight colors which may not suit every hair color. This is particularly true for people with light colored hair.
• It does not run in contact with water but it does fade slightly which is quite okay.
• As it’s a cream, you have to be a little careful while applying it in along the forehead. We suggest you practice for a few days in front of the mirror to get a completely natural appearance.
Does Couvre Work?
Couvre reviews by consumers have been optimistic. Consumers prefer to use the cream to mask the bald spot even when they are using medication like Minoxidil to grow hair on bald spots.
